The Zero Emission Construction Power Tool (Vermogenstool) has been updated and is now available in an online environment. Developed within the National Agenda for Charging Infrastructure (NAL), the tool helps clients and contractors gain early insight into the power demand of zero-emission construction projects.

ElaadNL plays a central role in the further development of the tool. Based on real-world data, practical experience, and lessons learned from zero-emission construction projects, the former Excel version has been transformed into a user-friendly online application that better reflects the realities of the construction site.

Insight before the project starts

When deploying electric construction equipment, a standard construction site grid connection often proves insufficient. Grid congestion and long lead times for new connections make it essential to look ahead at an early stage.

The Power Tool provides insight into the required capacity, how demand develops over the course of the day, and whether the available charging capacity is sufficient. This supports project teams in exploring suitable charging and energy solutions well before construction begins.

From real-world data to a practical tool

The updated Power Tool includes common inner-city project types that can be adjusted to the user’s specific situation. Users can also build their own projects using a machine list. In addition, the tool offers insight into power profiles and the ability to distribute charging demand across multiple connections. Projects can easily be saved and exported.

To support the use of the updated Power Tool, Connectr facilitates a Power Tool Masterclass. During this session, ElaadNL experts share their approach and experiences, and participants work hands-on with the tool.
